Due to the fast escalating costs of raw material and electricity, it has become essential to adopt a process, which can compensate for high costs of these inputs and DC Arc Melting furnace is such equipment. Electrotherm has Designed, Manufactured and commissioned India's first indigenous DC Arc Furnace of 11 MW/22 MT capacity for Maridia Steels Ltd. In this furnace arc is struck between the graphite electrodes positioned above the scrap and metallic anodes embedded in the bottom hearth. Electrotherm has the capability to offer DC EAF from 5MT to 100MT capacity.
