We manufacture Medium/High frequency power sources ranging from 5KW to 1200KW, which are specially designed for heating & hardening applications.

Advantages
There are two broad categories of heat-treating processes - indirect heating & direct heating. Induction heating falls in direct heating category where heat is supplied directly to the work piece.

  • Induction heating has many advantages over competitive techniques, such as radiant or convection heat, electron beam and ion-nitriding methods.
  • Induction heating techniques can be applied to many applications.

Following are advantages/benefits of Induction Heating and Hardening.

1. Accuracy
This is the most important advantage of induction heating. The heat supplied may be adjusted independently with respect to the fluctuations of the current supply. Any temperature gradient can be notified by the use of a pyrometer or a temperature regulator. This results in accurate temperature control and thus provides uniform results consistently.

2. Enhanced Productivity
Productivity is enhanced as induction heating is quick, developed directly inside the job, start up is virtually instantaneous, no warm up or cool down required etc. This Instantaneous heating of material results in increased production and reduced distortion.

3. Optimized Consistency/Selective Heating
Induction Heating eliminates inconsistencies in quality issues, which are normally associated with flame, torch heating etc. Heating pattern with induction is consistent & repeatable. Precise control over power & frequency helps achieve uniform results.

4. Environmentally Sound
Induction Heating process does not involve any kind of fossil fuel. The process is clean, non-polluting and environmentally sound. It eliminates smoke, waste heat, unwanted emissions, loud noise etc. Non-Conductive materials are not effected and can be located within a close proximity. It results in low heat radiation as the heat is generated in the work piece itself.

Since the induction heating and hardening involves a local delimitation of the heating process, exact dosage, high operating speed and no deformation of the job, the products are assured for uniform continuity and quality. Area/Part to be heated is never in contact with heating element/coil. Heating is localized and product distortion, reject rates etc are minimum.
